What’s one word that rubs you the wrong way?
If I had to choose one word that grates like chalk on my board of life, it would be PLEASANT. Maybe it’s because my father used it. He liked to be in control, stay in the “middle of the seesaw” type, such that it would hardly move. One of my dearest friends likes to play it safe, and comments that evenings out with the same couple every week are “pleasant”. That sounds positively boring to me. I feel most alive when I’m pushing against the confines of my comfort zone, on the precipice of change, blood coursing through my veins, expanding into unknown territory. The exact opposite of Pleasant. Certainly not comfortable. Downright terrifying at times. However, I consider it an honor to have been awarded a ticket to this Amusement Park of Life, so I’m certainly planning on getting my money’s worth! Shall we get in line & experience a few rides together?
